My name is Malene Jørgensen and I'm a Veterinary Surgeon specialising in classical homeopathy and other complementary therapies now living in Jutland, Denmark. I qualified from the University of Copenhagen in 1992 but had an interest in complementary medicine long before then as I attended homeopathy and acupuncture courses with international speakers during my University years. I started my own practice in Denmark for small animals and horses in 1996 and continued studying homeopathy in Denmark and Germany. Later in 2001 I moved to the UK to further my studies in homeopathy, so I joined the HPTG course in Oxford and qualified under the Faculty of Homeopathy in 2004 as VetMFHom. At the same time I was awarded the international title CertIAVH and in 2021 I was awarded the highest title og Fellow (VetFFHom). In 2008 I moved to France and started my own practice for complementary medicine, mainly homeopathy but also acupuncture, Low Level Laser Therapy, Natural nutrition and supplements including CBD oil for animals. In 2020 I moved back to Denmark, where I have been in conventional small animal practice until recently, where I started my own clinic in 2024. Lately I have discovered that many animal guardians use CBD oil for their animals but haven't got much information other than what they can find on Dr Google. The Danish law stipulates that a Veterinary Surgeon is not allowed to PRESCRIBE CBD oil to animals and there are no products licensed for animals (and humans for that matter) in Denmark for internal use for certain diseases. HOWEVER, there are CBD oils and other products, which have an EU 'go-to-market' notification, which means that they are legal to sell and use in Denmark. The products, I find useful and of the highest quality, are from the company Wetality. They also have a product specifically for use in small animals.
